In commemoration of Pride Month, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI), Equality New York (EQNY), Caribbean Equality Project (CEP), Queer Detainee Empowerment Project (QDEP), and Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI) are hosting "Asylum is a Human Right: Fighting to Live and Thrive as LGBTQ+ Migrants," a panel discussion and community event focusing on LGBTQ+ immigrants.

The conversation will center around themes of migration, struggles of accessing legal services, trans-affirming healthcare, housing, and justice for LGBTQ+ immigrant New Yorkers. Speakers and organizational leaders will share their lived experiences through oral and visual storytelling and community talent.
