Queeribbean Crossings: Building Communities of Care

Join Caribbean Equality Project, in partnership with the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium, for Queeribbean Crossings: Building Communities of Care, hosted annually in December in recognition of 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence and Human Rights Day, the conference features the NY book launch for "Defiant Bodies: Making Queer Community in the Anglophone Caribbean" by author, professor, and activist, Dr. Nikoli A. Attai.

2023 Little Guyana Votes Festival

On Friday, November 3rd, Caribbean Equality Project will host the 3rd annual "Little Guyana Votes Festival," a Diwali-inspired culturally-responsive neighborhood Get Out the Vote (GOTV) action to educate voters on the 2023 General election. The civically engaged outreach community event features tabling to distribute voter, LGBTQ+, domestic violence, housing, and workers' rights resources, including FREE Diwali treats and Diya giveaways to encourage voter participation in Richmond Hill, Queens.
