Queer Caribbeans of NYC Stonewall 50 Exhibition

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising CEP developed the first-ever multimedia historical retrospective showcase of the racial and cultural intersections of Caribbean LGBTQ rights activists. 

Live Pridefully

A celebration of Queer Caribbean resilience which started as a virtual event during the COVID-19 pandemic and went on to be adapted as both an art and oral histories exhibition at the Queens Museum and an outdoor photography exhibition presented by Photoville.

Breaking Silences

A one-day symposium that focused on a range of issues affecting the health and wellbeing of Caribbean LGBTQ diasporic communities. The event was comprised of presentations, panel discussions, cultural performances, and supportive resources.

Queens Anti-Hate Survey

CEP is a member of the Queens Partners Against Hate Coalition. In 2022, the coalition launched the “Anti-Hate Survey” across the borough of Queens to gauge personal experiences of hate violence, identify strategies for collective action, and create allyship.

Caribbean Drag & Queer Resilience

An article curated by CEP featuring eighteen Caribbean drag queens from across the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. In their own words, the drag queens speak about what coalition and liberation work means to them.

The Economic Case for LGBT+ Inclusion in the Caribbean

A report produced for Open For Business that presents a regional monetary estimate on the cost of LGBT exclusion among 12 countries in the English-speaking Caribbean.

In the Footsteps of Heroes Exhibition

A historic exhibition that was on view at the New York State Capitol in June 2023 highlighting an LGBTQ+ movement set against the backdrop of the Stonewall Uprising—in transition from past to present—from forerunners to the future.

8th Annual New York State Latinx Summit Report

The 8th Annual NYS Latinx Gay, Bi, and Trans Mens Health Summit marked a significant milestone in mission to navigate new paths and build health equity for Latinx LGBTQ+ men, particularly focusing on immigrants and asylum seekers.
